TOTUM code links are used for 2 purposes; verification and/or a discounted membership. The organisation issuing the code to you will confirm if it is a verification-only code or to provide you with a discounted/free membership.

How to redeem a verification/voucher code link

If you have been provided with a code link, it will appear in a similar format to the example below. Please follow these steps to redeem your unique link.

https://cards.totum.com/join/voucher?voucher_code=2677E5LAEAS3APO

1) Click your unique code to open it in your browser. Register your personal email address on this step, be sure to check for typos, because your code will lock to your email address at this stage.

2) On the next steps confirm your password, your consent options and then your name and date of birth

3) Next you will need to confirm your study details. If your code was provided directly by your place of study then this will automatically populate in the first field. If your code was provided from another scheme such as the Lloyds student bank account promotion you will need to set your own place of study and course details to proceed.

4) If your code was provided for a free membership you will see a summary of the free card as shown below. From here you just need to upload your photo and confirm the delivery address to finalise your order.

If the code provided to you is for verification purposes only you will land on the bundle selection step, here you can select the membership type and duration and then proceed to finalise your order.

What to do if your code isn’t working

Redeeming your code should be quick and straightforward. If you run into any issues, please check the following:

  • Check what your code is for
Most codes provided by organisations are used for verification only. If you've redeemed your code but are being asked to pay—when you expected a free card—please confirm with the organisation whether the code includes a free TOTUM membership or is for verification only.

  • Clear your browser data
Cookies saved from previous attempts can sometimes cause errors. If you see an error message, try:
    a) Clearing your browser cookies and logging back in via your voucher link, or
    b) Opening the voucher link in an incognito/private browsing window.

  • Expired or invalid code
If your code shows as expired or invalid, please contact the organisation that issued it to request a new, valid code.

If after checking the above points you're still having trouble with your code please let us know by creating a ticket. Please confirm the code and your place of study so we can look into it right away: Submit a ticket
